Hello there,

I’m Sabrina Hope. I’ve been working in administration and marketing since 2013. I love working with health professionals helping them to realize and grow their dream of having their own practice, or hiring on other health professionals.

I completed my BA in English and Film Studies from Western University in 2005, and complete my MA in Drama from Guelph University in 2009. After landing a job in retail at an upscale baby gear store in Oakville, Ontario, I decided to go to Sheridan College and get more practical writing skills. I completed a postgrad certificate in Corporate Communication and Public Relations in 2010. I interned at the Oakville Community Foundation, before getting a full-time job with the United Way of Oakville in their Community Impact department where I got to help my team distribute millions of dollars into our community by funding 40 non-profit agencies.

When I got pregnant with my third baby, we decided to move back closer to family in London, Ontario. During my maternity leave I decided to resign from my full-time job, as I could not imagine working full-time with 3 kids under 6 years old. But 3 months into living on a single-income, it became painfully clear that no amount of budgeting and making my own soap was going to feed, house, and clothe our growing family, so I started looking for part-time work this time. It was also around this time I became a Le Leche League Leader and got to meet lots of other working professional mothers who combined breastfeeding and freelance work, so I it opened up my options on what I could do.

In January 2013, I started working part-time for Rebirth Wellness Centre in administration and marketing, and completely fell in love helping practitioners so they could help their clients and patients. I loved using the booking software Mindbody and later Jane App, filling schedules, processing payments, and then submitting insurance claims. I found it deeply rewarding to help clients access healthcare and for me to process their insurance claims.

In 2022, I worked as a virtual assistant for Ginger Desk, where I provided administrative support for chiropractors, physiotherapists, and Medical Doctors in Canada and United States. It was through here I learned how to do MVA claims for physiotherapists, and create superbills for chiropractors.

In 2024, I worked for Jane App, where I completed their 3 months of intense training and worked on the support floor, fielding non-stop phone calls, chat, and email support and did trouble-shooting for both Canadian and US Insurance Billing. As much as I loved helping practitioners, I felt emotionally depleted from helping different practitioners. It was such a treat when I got to talk to the same practitioner twice, but that was rare. I was feeling burnt out. I wanted to be more than superficial help for practitioners. It felt like I was in an emergency room dealing with the urgent stuff, but I wanted to develop deeper relationships and help practitioners grow. I found myself talking to customer about their websites, SEO, logo design, and colours. This was not part of my job and I was moving out of my scope, but I loved helping these lone practitioners work through all the details to set up their business. I felt like I was on Tinder dating app, and I was ready to get off and get married.

So I went back to the in-person setting of helping practitioners set up their practices. I can work with you too if you need help. I offer 2 ways of working with me.

  1. Jane Set-up and Support - 6 weeks of 24/7 support

  2. On-going daily admin support - billing and Jane support

Jane App support is free, and they are absolutely wonderful. But if you want a customized person to talk to about your clinic, who knows what you offer and you don’t have to explain all the background details to them, then consider hiring me as your personalized virtual assistant to create and grow your practice or clinic.
